RALEIGH, N.C. (February 20, 2020) – Wake Tech celebrated entrepreneurship this week with the official opening of the National Association for Community College Entrepreneurship’s (NACCE) corporate headquarters at Western Wake Campus in Cary.
The organization, a national leader in promoting and supporting entrepreneurship through community colleges, began in 2002 at Springfield Technical Community College, in Springfield, Mass.
The official NACCE opening on Feb. 19 coincided with National Entrepreneurship Week (NEW), which highlights the importance of entrepreneurship through activities across the country. Wake Tech leaders, local officials, including Wake County Commissioner Jessica Holmes, and NACCE supporters participated in the special day which featured a ribbon cutting, meetings with community members, and professional development workshops on diversity and equity, financial readiness, and entrepreneurial mindset.
